The exhibition entitled "Being There – Presence and Reverberation" by the artist living in Berlin, Simon Wachsmuth is opened at Noks Art Space, in Istanbul Kadıköy with also his attendence. It consists of four different sound installations taken from the sounds from his films recorded in Iran, Turkey, South Korea and India and would continue until January 16th.

In Istanbul as a resident of Kulturakademie Tarabya, Wachsmuth gets his inspiration from the contemporary, political and sosiological relationships. In his work where he interprets the materials that are based in collective memory and social dialogue in his minimal and conceptual style, the re-construction of history in relationship with sociological phenomenons shines out.

His works has been awarded withh prestigious prizes and he opened and contributed to exhibitions around the world. "BeingThere" is focuses on sounds instead of visual material that is unusual to his style. In the first room of the exhibtion space, awaits the visitors three loundspeakers and the in the second room a headphone. The loud speakers has sounds from India, Turkey, Iran and South Korea. The visuality that is evoked by these sounds are left to the visitor's imaigination.

The exhibition can be visited until January 16th on Saturday, Sunday and Mondays between 14:00-18:00.
